Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Hello everybody.
I'm not really a 'journal' writing type of guy as you probably noticed.

I'm truly overwhelmed by all positive response you all have expressed about my work and I want to thank you all very much. The thought that so many of you fellow artists are inspired and moved by my work is a great feeling. I really try to put my heart and soul into all my work and for so many of you to see that is a huge reward for me.
I don't really spend a lot of time on the computer these days because of my work load so please don't take it personally if I haven't responded to your comments and questions. They are all greatly appreciated.

I found your page through a favourite of someone on a daily deviation. I have to say it is apsolutely amazing work, and so funny in places. I adore your devil dude, the expressions are just great!

Do you have any tips for someone thinking of starting out in sculpture at home? I have nowhere to fire clay etc.

I remember first seeing you on Sculptors.net if I remember correctly Mark, and have always enjoyed your work. The mermaids and nudes in particular.

Also I love the super hero ones and the ones for the Spiderwick Cronicles especially since the house was based on one in my small town so I thought it was extra cool.
