This is another sculpt I did for Thomas Blackshear's "Ebony Visions" figurine line.

I actually bought this piece and I do collect some of the "Ebony Visions" line but this is by far my favorite piece.

Tried to leave a comment earlier but it didn't seem to stick?

Anyway, was going to say that I really love this piece. I was curious as to how you made the sword look so good though. Did you make the sword separately and then fuse it his hand for the perfect fit? Something so thin and detailed like that would seem hellish to try and make.

So, how did you get the sword to look so good? Especially at that angle, that seems like it'd be hell to sculpt; plus it's so thin too. Did you make it separately and then fuse it to his hand for the perfect fit? I love this piece by the way

I love this one. I love the whole Ebony Vision series in fact but this one is my favourite.
I like the fact you depict african people instead of western ones, I seldom see that. And I like even more the irony of putting this one in a western setting.
I want to see even more!

This piece is sculpted in Super Sculey. A polymer clay.

Thank you, Mark.

I have tried the "prosculpt", but not with the results I wanted - it was so soft, I didn't care for it. Is the super sculpey that much harder, or do I need to face the fact....Maybe I just stink at this..... :(
