love this one and that is not just because Wolverine is my favorite super hero. Great texture and the rips in the singlet and jeans are awesome. The light falls really well on it also, showing all details in muscle work.
Absolutely love how this looks...I know a lot of people will complain about him not being able to retract his claws and blah, blah, blah but the overall look and detail is absolutely phenomenal. Keep up the great work and don't let the haters rattle your cage!
MARK! I just pre-ordered your incredible Storm statue from Sideshow... when is THIS one going to come out?? This is the most incredible Wolverine in plain clothes I've ever seen.
As much as the incredible length of the claws makes a statement which is pretty much all of "I'm one bad a$$ motherf***er" which he is... the "reality" of it is those sword length blades would never be able to retract into his forearm. I don't mind a little exaggerated length, but I think they need to be a little more reasonable - you don't want the claws to be the focal point of all that incredible work, you want them to add to the character not BE the character.
But even if you don't shorten them... the entire thing is phenomenal and I'd buy it in a second!! When is it coming out????
I think I've seen this style of Wolverine before, with the claws that don't look like they'll fit into his forearms. Jim Lee, if I recall, but I could be wrong.
Honestly, we can accept a fast-regenerating mutant with an indestructible alloy skeleton that can pop claws out of his hands at will...but the length of the claws has people frothing at the mouth. I know there's a term for that, but I'm blanking on it at the moment. Misplaced suspension of disbelief??
the sculpture is amazing but you know what realy brings it out and makes its unique from every other wolverine painting and sculture...aside from all the amazing details i love love LOVE the katana length claws, this thing is sicker then the motherfucking bird flu!
