There were actually 2 different portraits for this sculpture. One with more relaxed look and one with just a bit more intensity and wind blown hair.

Oh man!! She is gorgeous! This is by far the best and most beautiful Storm sculpture I've ever seen. I revere this lady in all her incarnations but you... you really captured her elegance and power... her beauty and strength. I really like both versions; from her expression and bone structure, to her costume and musculature... the realism in her form, the fabric... just incredible detail.

WHERE can I get one of these??? I collect only two XMen; Wolverine and Storm. And where I buy all the Wolverines I can get my hands on, I'm much more picky about Storm. I have only two statures of this wonderful goddess and I'll give up both of them for this one. It's PERFECTION.

The pull of the fabric between and below her breasts is great. You do beautiful work.

Gorgeous! In both you really captured the regal persona and killer bone structure of Storm. I'd like to have a statue without any paint, or with just a white coat so it looks like a classic marble statue of a Greek goddess.

Both are such lovely versions, Mark! You made such subtle differences to her facial expressions from each sculpt of the head, yet each change each is effective. Storm is my all-time favorite superhero and you have captured her perfectly.
The detailing in the entire sculpt is superb. The different textures you managed to incorporate - from the strands of hair, to the folds in her uniform, even down to the foliage on the rock base she's standing on - is so masterfully done.
Your sculpt is everything I want Storm to be: regal yet commanding, beautiful and stoic, strong yet voluptuous. And the paint job and the costume construction from the rest of the Sideshow team complements your work very well.

I'm excited to say that I have placed my order for this sculpt (the exclusive edition, so I'll be receiving both portraits) and can't wait to add her to my collection.
Thanks for sharing your talent with us!

Cheers!

Thank you very much! I really appreciate your detailed analysis of the sculpture. This means a lot coming from a hard core Storm fan as yourself.

Any time! Good work merits good feedback. I've been in love with your work for some time now, I'm upset at myself I haven't commented earlier >.<

Something I also forgot to mention in my reply is that I love how her outstretched hand is sculpted as well. Hands are such a pain in the arse to draw, so I can only imagine how difficult it is to sculpt. The hands you have sculpted for her (they're interchangeable as well, correct?) have so much character!

Anyway, I'll stop my fanboying and just enjoy what the future has in store for your work.

Cheers!

Really liking the alternative versions you've done here, both work perfectly on the body and with the pose too.
