Shaak Ti 5 by MarkNewman Shaak Ti 5 by MarkNewman
This is a premium format (1/4 scale) super sculpey sculpture of Shaak Ti , a Star Wars character produced by Sideshow Coleectibles. I believe the original painting here was by Kat Sapene.

The things you do with clay.. Amazing. Togruta are one of my favorit races in SW, and this one is beautifully sculpted.

What amazes me is how you find the time and energy to make so much sculpture. How long does a piece like this take ? I use chavant for my sculptures but it is quite unresponsive to work with compared to real clay. You say you use J Mac Classic; is it very soft and can you smooth and clean up details with a paint brush ? Any tips would be really welcome.

it's what I do for a living so I 'm sculpting all the time. This sculpure and most my commercial smaller scale work I use Super sculpey. A polymer clay. I use the oil base clay for my larger looser sculptures. You can achieve much more detail with polymer clay but it take some getting used to.
