I'm a professional sculptor working primarily in the commercial art arena. Sculpting original figurines, maquettes and prototypes for various collectibles, video game and toy companies as well as a few FX studios. I also try and make time for my fine art bronze work and privet commissions. I primarily work traditionally but I'm starting to explore the digital sculpture and design dimension. mmhuuwhaahahaahaaa.

Just recently got free to sculpt again [been busy holding on to my full time job]. It's always a pleasure to study your work, as it reminds me of what to work toward. Seriously. I got more out of studying the material folds on Vampi's boot, than a lot of other sculptors work. Whenever I run into a problem, your page is always and inspiration. Thanks for your continuing posts! D.

Mark, my first comment on Deviantart, can I add to the hordes, that your work is an inspiration - you and I are the same age but you are lightyears ahead in sheer, unadulterated talent. Cheers!!

So you use armature wire to make hair float, you make your own tools, correct? So what do you use to make anatomically correct figures. Do you have a guide of some sort or do you look on the web for reference?

Yes. Wire armature throughout the sculptures. I do make toots of my own tools as well as re-shape store bought tools.
I mostly do use anatomy reference I find on the web.
