I'm a professional sculptor working primarily in the commercial art arena. Sculpting original figurines, maquettes and prototypes for various collectibles, video game and toy companies as well as a few FX studios. I also try and make time for my fine art bronze work and privet commissions. I primarily work traditionally but I'm starting to explore the digital sculpture and design dimension. mmhuuwhaahahaahaaa.

Hey Mark, just adding my name to the long list of appreciative admirers you have. Your gallery is stunning and shows your knowledge of anatomy and your skill in manipulating it to achieve the desired effect. I believe you sculpted a piece titled "Moonsinger" in the 90's, that is, in my opinion, the ultimate werewolf representation. I truly enjoy your work

Hi Mark, I love your sculpts but wanted to know how you keep the sculpey so clean?
MarkNewman Featured By Owner Sep 22, 2014  Professional Traditional Artist
I wash my hands after posing the armature wire and try to keep my work area clean.
If I get some marbling of dirt in the surface I just carve it out and add fresh material.
After YEARS of using this stuff you get used to keeping it clean.

What are your tips for baking full size figures?
MarkNewman Featured By Owner Aug 25, 2014  Professional Traditional Artist
I try to break up the figure into smaller parts in the armature stage if the figure is gonna too large to fit into the oven.
Such as having the figure be able to break at the waist. You can also use a heat gun to set the soft sculpey.
